A small book which is basically a well structured wander through various families of bottom dwelling fish. Written in the style of magazine articles, there are many (somewhat specialist) well photographed topics including breeding Synodontis multipunctatus & Hoplosternum littorale.

There are a number of unusual fish and plenty of reading on some of the occasionally available imports. There is much more on catfish than loaches thus its inclusion in this section.
