| Identification | Platyglanis differs from related genera in an elongation combined with a dorso-ventral flattening of the body. The head is extremely flattened and the eyes are dorsal, also has the largest number of anal fin rays among claroteids (25-28) The colouration is uniform greyish brown dorsally, pale to whitish ventrally. There are no spots or markings on the body or the fins. |
