Feeding Will feed on prepared and frozen foods.
Furniture Substrate should be fine sand, as they do hide in the substrate.
Compatibility May eat fry from other fishes, but their overall size is small, so most fish will be fine - even neon tetras and such would be large enough to not become a meal.
Suggested Tankmates Compatible with most fish that are not much larger or so small they become part of the menu.
Breeding Unreported.

Registered Keepers (1) Richard B (k: 3), who also notes: "Upon introduction to the tank, most individuals buried themselves in the sand substrate, with just their faces showing - therefore sand would be a must as the substrate, not gravel. They have proved energetic unfussy feeders but not gluttonous I lost 1 after a couple of days which squeezed out of a tiny gap in the cover glasses", (2) Martin S (p: 2, k: 6), (3) MatsP (k: 5), who also notes: "Received from Martin S who had them from 2008-12-27 and 2008-01-10.
