Down Husbandry Information
Feeding These catfish will thrive on a mixed and varied diet that includes catfish pellets, prawns, mussels, earthworms and bloodworms. User data.
Furniture The aquarium can be planted or not, but there must be some caves, or plant pots for the fish to hide in. Subdued lighting is an advantage beacause the fish is nocturnal, although it is active during the day once settled.
Compatibility This fish should not be kept with smaller fish as they will be eated. Recommended for a lake tanganyika community, with no small fish, and will plenty of caves to hide in.
Suggested Tankmates Good tankmates include all larger lake tanganyika community fish, as well as Brochis and other larger catfish and larger cichlids.
