Overview | The first spawn was on Saturday 28th of July 2012. The breeding group consisted of 4 males and 3 females. The smallest male was at least 20mm SL and the smallest female was at least 30mm SL. The youngest adult was approximately 3 months old. The individuals were obtained from Wild caught, acquired from club member. |

Breeding |
Behaviour | Each of three spawnings occurred after the fish were moved into a new tank, followed by large water changes, using 50% rain water.
Surprisingly, the fish spawned three times in months, with a total of at least 300 eggs. In each case, I removed all the adult fish from the tank. In each case, some fry have survived, but it's not clear how many. |
