Down Breeding
Behaviour These fish are always secretive. I knew I had males and females due to starting with about 15 or so fish. Then I would watch closely as the females would feed more heavily, then plump up with roe, then disappear for a few days. I then suspected when most of the plump fish were now skinny again, that eggs had to be there. I started flipping over driftwood and found some eggs, but mainly small fry in with the java moss that was under neath. All fish were kept in the tank with the eggs and fry. Every few weeks I am able to find a few more "small" bumblebees.
Segregation Parents were left with eggs and fry. I suspect that some eat the eggs, I still end up with more and more bee's.
Fry sizes 7 days: 0mm
14 days: 0mm
21 days: 0mm
Juvenile sizes 1 month: 0mm
3 months: 0mm
6 months: 0mm
Fry and juvenile feeding I continued to do my normal feeding for the parents. Above it wouldn't let me list all the foods, so I feed live blackworms twice a week, frozen brine shrimp twice a week and ken's earthworm flake food daily.
