Down Basics
Overview The first spawn was on Tuesday 1st of December 2015. The breeding group consisted of 3 males and 2 females. The smallest male was at least 75mm SL and the smallest female was at least 77mm SL. The youngest adult was approximately 54 months old. The individuals were obtained from A pet store and a pleco keeper.

Dimensions The aquarium dimensions were 750mm x 500mm x 500mm (29.5" x 19.7" x 19.7") all Length x Width x Height.
Furniture Fine gravel substrate, river rocks, and bogwood, clay and PVC pipe caves. Seem to prefer PVC pipe caves.
Filtration 1 x Fluval 4 plus + powerhead for added current

Down Breeding
Behaviour Standard. Male traps female for 1 to 2 days and then broods the eggs and young. Spawning often triggered by a water change
Eggs There were 30 golden yellow eggs laid which were 4.5mm in diameter.
