Species Information
Size	100mm (3.9") SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification	This is something of a tentative identification. The pictures taken above are from a collecting expedition to the Venezuelan llanos. The only member of this genus described from this drainage is H. devall. The relative abundance of this species also makes this ID probable.
General Remarks	Although commonly found for sale in fish markets, this species shows immediate signs of traumatic stress when removed from nature. Captured specimens do not appear to survive long enough to adjust to aquarium life.
