I take it your nitrAte test kit max's out at 100mg/l? Also what level of nitrate comes in from your tap water? Why buy an bottle of bacteria when you have a seperate mature tank? just trasfere more media from the other tanks filters. Bottled bacteria in most cases is in stasis in the bottle and take...

So you really need a pump that can deliver 2000gph at a height of 40". It might be a good idea to go to your LFS and check out the flow rate charts on the side of each box.
Also have a look at the pond pumps. OASE make good pumps suitable for your design.

The codes you have posted i believe are both the same filter. 2235 standard ecco i.e. only sponge media and one carbon. and 2236 is the limited edition version which is the same unit but with 3 litres of substrate pro. Both should cost the same price.

How high is the maximum lift your pumps are going to make?

Because 1000gph is only at zero head. After the lift i suspect you need the flow will be considerably less.

Eheim make good pumps IMO.

Octozin will only treat protozoa infections. Sterazin will treat callamanus if you do a couple of courses.

they came in water of a ph of 6.2 therefore if my water was to acid theres was much more I take it you tested the water in the shiping bag to get a pH reading? If so then it's unlikely that thats the actual water they are kept in by the breeder/exporter. What i mean by this is that you need to take...

I'm not 100 percent sure what you are asking? Should the power heads be in the tank or in the filter is that it?

Apart from the heating question 2x 300watt will be enough.

I would say beween 2-6 months, The longer the better. You can still make your quarantine tank look somewhat natural. It doesn't have to be too "empty", leave out substrate but put enough hiding places in that the fish feel secure but you can still check on them without moving the decore.

LFS, who we trust 100% say the Octazin treatment is very safe and won`t harm to try. It may not harm to try but Waterlife Octozin is for treatment of hole in the head ,dropsy, Malawi bloat, whitespot and spironucleus, i very much doubt it will help. I would recommend More water changes x2 per week a...

Im confused both of these tanks are not fully cycled yet you put the fish in the smallest of the two tanks were the ammonia will build up faster than in the 50 gallon. Chances are your pleco is not interested in the food due to the ammonia levels, Do more water changes to get them as low as possibe....

You could do an experiment, and buy two cheap Loricariids, two ancistrus say, and dump one straight into a tank, and acclimatize the other very slowly, say by emptying the bag into a bucket and replacing the water cup by cup over the course of a day. If only the slowly acclimatized one survives... ...
