Can I ask why you have them in a fry keeper ?

The parent will NOT bother them in any way and will protect them from most fishy predators.
They can also find their own food easier in the main tank where there will (generally) be more to eat than a bare fry keeper.

Also noticed today while doing a tank cleanup, the males whole pectoral fin is almost as orange as the thick pectoral spine.
Looks very nice, especially when looked at from above on grey sand.

The last picture doesnt look very 'male' like to me.
The pectoral spines on the males that I've seen and kept are much thicker and a deeper orange colour.

The largest problem with BN's is getting rid of the fry.
