The only other person I can think of who may have had some success is Frank Falcone. I think he goes by coryman on here.

Re: Lost all but 1 of a cory group, now he's stressed....

No, not yet. I really can't afford much, and the CW016 are very expensive.. (why is it my inexpensive fish I got at a local store live on and on, but the very expensive group I had shipped died?? sigh..) Its just ironic.. anyways, I am sort of looking for the weitzmani but not overly vigorously. But...

thank you so much for your reply. I've been looking, and so far I have been unable to locate any C. weitzmani for sale so far. I hope I can find some friends for this lil fella.

Lost all but 1 of a cory group, now he's stressed....

Hi, I hope someone smarter than I has an answer for me. Several months ago I had a disaster go through my tank and lost all but 1 of my CW016 cory. The remaining fella swims up and down the front and side glass almost all the time now, so I know he's stressed. Here's the problem. I would love to fin...

Re: Dead Ancistrus Help!!

not that I'm any sort of expert, because I am not, but isn't 70 degrees f a tad low? Wouldn't 77-78 be better?

I don't know if that is relevant even.

Re: Baby Pleco's Discovered

cute surprise! but I can see if you don't have the space for babies how that might be a big problem. This is why when I bought my ABN, I only bought one. It turned out to be male.. he gets in his cave and wiggles that tail trying to lure a female, but, alas the poor boy isn't gonna get lucky. I woul...

Mats,

When you say beans, do you mean green beans or ? I'm not too worried about my ABN, as he gets zucchini as well as algae wafers in his diet during the week.

can you let me know when you decide? I live in Tucson, and if the price is agreeable, could maybe save in shipping costs? Do you have any picture you could post or email to me perhaps? I can provide my private email if you are interested.

thanks,

Re: looking for opinions

my cories are doing quite well in my 55. They get to the top just fine, even the small juvenile CW016 I have.. have no worries about that. Presently I have a total of 17 cories in my tank.. 8 C. elegans, 6 CW016, and 3 C.trilineatus. Everyone gets along quite well. There are other fish in the tank t...

well this is why I come here... you all teach me so much. What about these glass cats.. If I get say.. 6 of them.. can they tolerate hard water ok? I think with the cories I have, a temp of 77-78 or so is best? I was, in no way set on discus.. was just a passing thought.. obviously my choosing of th...

Re: Discus and ABN pleco?

actually no.. I have no interest in breeding any of my fish. I'm actually just trying to find something to occupy the upper 1/2 of the 55 gallon tank, otherwise, with cories, otocinclus, and abn as occupants.. well, its just all bottom dwellers.. the cherry barbs stay low too, mostly in the plants.....

would the discus be ok if I just buy 2 small ones or even a single small one or do they need a group? And, I have 3 different types of cory.. c. elegans, cw016, and c. trilinious.. I dont know if they can tolerate the temps a discus need... drat.. the discus need like 81-82f at least right? I am so ...

Discus and ABN pleco?

I have been thinking about changing around the specimens I'm keeping in my 55 gallon. Presently I have 4 angelfish, which I bought at the same time when they were very small. My initial idea was they would eventually make a pair and I would return the other 2 to the fish store. My hope was that the ...

Re: Bought Two Albino Cory Catfish

hi.. I know you didn't exactly ask, but if you are truly wanting to give your cories the best, they need to be in a group of at least 5, and they need to be out of the tank with the goldfish. Not only do the goldfish produce an extraordinary amount of ammonia and foul the water conditions quickly, t...

well, he's sort of ok.. he's not out exploring as much as he used to, but he's seems otherwise fine... no red hemmoraging on his head that I can see.. and being albino, it would be easy, I would think.. GF- There are many online sites to purchase all sorts of fish.. If you want, send me an email and I can send you links to many.. That said, shipping is KILLER EXPENSIVE... worth it though, if you are seeking a very rare fish. The more.. frugal? thing to do would be to go to your closest fish store.....
