Or maybe some websites to have fish delivered to your door. Has anyone got any recommendations for sites they use?

Wood for tanks?

Hi everyone,

This has probably been asked loads before but can I use wood from the forest in my tank or is there a reason we buy it from the shops?
Obviously I'd soak it first but just wondering if its the same kind of wood or if it will just fall apart?

They recognise that you provide them with food. You could probably hand feed them.

Re: Colombian shark behaviour?

I've just fed the sharks there dinner, then I always hoover up what they don't eat, tidy up the tank then switch the lights off. I do this every night. Tonight I fed them, hoovered up, put my hand in to flatten out the sand and the sharks started thrashing about so I took my hand out, quite rapidly ...

Hiya everyone, My 3 colombian sharks are growing nicely now. Spot and chopper being around 4 inches and Jack being 5-6 inches. Suggestions for calm laid back catfish?

I'm looking at setting up another tank and wondering if there are any calm placid catfish out there that's quite happy to be on his own and grow to maybe 10 to 14 inches as an adult. Like I said it will be on its own so needs for water can be built around him. One that maybe as it got older I might ...

Re: API Test kits???

I once looked up the accuracy of a paper strip nitrite test - which is also used by hospitals to check for urinary tract infection. It is about 85% accurate at high levels of nitrite, but it reduces to about 60% detection rate at lower levels of nitrite. -- Mats My god thats naughty :-O Thanks for ...

I would bring it back to the store and demand a full refund at least in the for...

Re: Columbian shark catfish? Please help!!!!

Welcome, Sara. I share in your love for this fish. Many things can cause that. Ich is one common one. Almost all external flukes, parasites, etc. will cause skin irritation. So does ammonia too. I'd suggest to make sure the water is clean, nice, and proper for these fish - NH3, NO2, NO3, pH, temp. ...
