Re: Live tips to save cory eggs

Another snail story extracted from : In the Post : Spawning season! I got 7 fry, all with the 'ramshorn snail method'. ... C...

Re: Live tips to save cory eggs

Congratulations MChambers ! It is a nice picture with lots of baby cory! You had Alder cone and air stone for hatching. Did you saw any species for which it made an improvement in hatching rate? So far, for the eggs from species that have spawn here: all fertile eggs seems to hatch just with ramshor...

Re: Live tips to save cory eggs

Hi, No new species to add on my side. I hope to have some spawn from some new species that have not yet done anything here, beside eating like piglet. On the other hand, the species that have started to spawn, keep on doing so. They are mainly Corydoras venezuelanus, Corydoras aeneus albinos (those ...

@kamas88 Thanks for your explanation. I like the group subdivision. It helps a lot for identification in refining the search efficiently without having to go through all cory pictures. Re: Could it be CW019 ?

Looking at listing more carefully, I found Corydoras sp CW097 to be very similar. (data from http://www.l-welse.com/reviewpost/showcat.php/cat/6 and planetcatfish) CW097 should come from Rio Madre de Dios and from map data this system is at the border from Peru and Bolivia, whereas Corydoras sp CW01...

Here are some pictures of my last test on Ancistrus eggs. My first test with planorbus went just fine but the second batch of eggs was lost. Hi Karsten, I do not have any information of their origin, they were the last three from a tank of C.melanistius from a chain store in Toronto... Saramaccensis or other brevisrostris type?

Hi, 10 months ago, visiting some LFS, I did what I usually not do, to buy some unknown cory. They were the very last three from a Corydoras melanistius tank. What I found intriguing was a long snout (all my corys had short rounded snout at that time so getting a cory with a long one, just for a chan...

Could it be CW019 ?

Hi, I got a bag of Corydoras melanotaenia from Colombia. Among those there was 7-8 corydoras that are different. Looking at Cat-eLog, I found them most similar to Corydoras CW019 . I do not see any other cory that will show this pattern (round snout, clear fins, body marking). Here are some pictures...

How many do you have?

Give them a mop just in case. Here I collected eggs mainly in the mop, very few on glass just the one touching the mop. I did not look under plants leaves, maybe I should.

Good luck!

Nice catch! Going to the LFS, getting some "common BN." and going back home with some less commun "Ancistrus sp`rio_ucayali`". Quite often it is the reverse happening.
