What i see is that the brown area or organ or gland in the second picture is 5-6 times bigger than this on the first picture ! So second species produce much more poison than first ?

Yes i would advice you that - as is visible for me the fungus is not closely related with its mouth - cut the fungus with some clean instrument or remove it with stick for theeth. Then put some aquarium medicine for cleaning the tank from bacterias. I dont know what products have you in USA and why ...

Pictures with dorsal view are from 1 and a half year ago when i bouth them ! From the right profile is smaller fish which i think is female and from the left profile is bigger fish that i think is male !
