Best algae eating pleco
Hi People, I need some help on getting a pleco for my Australian native tank. The tank is roughly 75G (5ftx1.3x1.5). Whilst I know Bristlenose's are one of the best, my Australian bass (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_bass) and freshwater stonefish called a bullrout (https://en.wikipedia.or...

Re: Aragonite and Seachem Flourite with peppered corydoras?
Hi all Is Aragonite, Seachem Flourite black, and Flourite black-sand ok for corys? Or is one or all to sharp for them? Aragonite is calcium carbonate based, so will raise pH and hardness. Is it easy for you to get swimming pool filter sand? If you can get a finer grade that is ideal for Corydoras ....

Re: Meds for Cory's and Yoyo Loaches?
Now there is also a cultural aspect. Generally speaking, people in the USA are much more afraid of germs then we in Europe are. But obviously, if it works here in Europe, is should work in the USA too I totally agree. I'm not in the USA so can't comment on them but Europeans can be strange as well....

Re: Meds for Cory's and Yoyo Loaches?
My opinion is that you shouldn't medicate unless you need to. Meds have side-effects and down-sides too. If the fish shows no signs of Ich, why stress it out with Ich meds? In my experience, wild-caught fish have pretty good immune systems. Fish from local breeders are usually healthy and disease-r...

Re: Meds for Cory's and Yoyo Loaches?
Thanks for the replies. The issue is we can't get most of the meds in Australia as you guys do. I tried to get a product as close as ich-x as I have read good reviews for people in the States. It does have M G, Form and Methanol. I might try making some medicated food with General Cure to treat the ...

Hi People, I'm new here so a big hello to all :d I picked up 3 salt and pepper Cory's and 1 yoyo loach (yes I know I need a larger group but that's all the LFS had on hand). The guys are in a 5g QT tank and would like to treat them for diseases/parasitics etc before adding them to my 20g. I have the...
