Re: Keeping Fish is never Quite easy
This reminded me when I am slowly getting back into swing of things keeping fish all of the tank wipeouts in my past from a breeding colony of L264s that still had the white tips to the paynes catfish entire tank loss due to equipment failures over time to have two of everything when it comes to fil...

Re: Which Cactus pleco do I have
Thought once they all matured they LOSE the coloring the more they grow?
So in this batch of L114s I expect them to lose more orange in the seam coloring?
While see the L600 younger one has less orange than the older specimen? Its confusing

Re: Which Cactus pleco do I have
Another Question thats bothering me. Why are L600s and L114s looking so similar as I looked up a local importer that had L114s in stock and their coloring is not as orange as his is at a smaller size already and some of the labeled L600s that same source has in at 6" is showing that same colori...

Re: Cory "nana" ID assistance please
The faded stripes color from yesterday stress from one cory has revealed it is just the same as the other cories in female? striping patterning. I have 5 males and 5 females if it is indeed the same species if its a napo cory. One of the cory has been sitting peacefully on the sponge filter eyeballi...

Will measure them tomorrow to me they are at least an inch long and they have been through the wringer today being chased around for a while at the LFS before being bagged up and tried to give them space in the QT tank for some time to settle in a bit. They are searching for food already tonight. Bu...

Now im back into the world of fishkeeping. Impulsive buy was a group of 10 of these guys for $60. Wow. No one bothered to respond. I am interested in your project as I am planning on trying to get in some Bagroides melapterus when time is right for me to do a fish tank again.

Need ideas for group of Jaguar catfish L. oncinus
As some already know the saga still continues I'm in middle of preparing for a move across the state lines, I have 2x 6'', thick girls I believe- 1x5'' and 2x 3.5-4'' making it total of 5 L.oncinus (not sure if I'm even right about saying the 6'' are girls to start with) They're my babies, my pride ...

2 weeks later, I do not see a single snail. Nothing else worked this actually has the best results for this pin sized snails that would not go away. Only time will tell if they're coming out of the sand or the driftwood.

I think they're more of happier fish without the direct light anyways I'm not sure about the water changes in between length vs your feeding regime as I don't know how big of a tank your tank is vs the number of zebs. I don't think theres anything wrong with that if the ratio per tank is really smal...

I think if you use structure/caves that are large enough to see into and situate them for viewing, combine this with enough time where the fish will get confident in their surroundings you will see the oncinus more than you think. I keep a pair of ancistrus in with mine. Birger Maybe, I hope so :d ...

55gallons is about 200 liters give or take a bit? in my opinion this tank is far too small for Liosomadoras, let alone 5...... Disagree. This is a fish species that is very sensitive with the water parameters I agree on that part however a 55g tank is just fine for a school of L. Oncinus in my opin...

I'm trying to convert a 55g back into an heavily planted tank setup. The temperature will be set at 75 degrees, I might eventually upgrade it to 75g tank or transfer everyone into a 180g tank.
