To be honest I think that better pictures are needed to tell whether you have a male or a female. They are too far away, not in focus, not showing the whole body well, and behind dirty glass. When you get better pics it is much easier to tell.

Actually, picture is good enough for me to say I think it is a male.

 I didn't realise it was a species of BN. Yes, the bristles give it away straight away. Especially as some of them have forks in - this never happens with females. I'm definately going with male.

female L183's do get bristles, but not up the center of the face. I'd say you have a male, but it's not possible to be 100% sure just yet.

females will certainly get forked bristles. It's hard to say with that pictured fish without something to reference for size and a clearer shot though. The bristles rarely point up on females unless they are very old and mature, so that should help you determine it for yourself. Hope that helps! This is a picture of my trio, with the male in the middle. It's not going to be much help for you though, I don't think, without the huge version. I'll try to reupload that in the next couple days.

He's about 3-3.5 inches. I'm pretty sure he's a male since there are a few bristles that look like they are starting to go up his nose. That gives me three males and no females :( Luckily I have 4 other young ones but it will be some time before they are large enough to sex. If anyone one is interested in 2 of these adult males... let me know... I'm open to trading them.
