LFS had this labeled as a C. Punctatus, but it clearly is not. Do any of the members recognize it? It is scaleless and has a mouth more akin to that of a bumble bee cat, but of course the superior barbels are much longer. I am not sure if the spines on the dorsal fin are normally separated or that is just deteriation of its condition from poor net handling and LFS water conditions.
The shop said it was a trade in so I am hopeful I am looking at a full grown specimen and not something that is going to treat my current population of rasbora and rummy nose as feeder fish while it grows to a foot or more. Presently it is about three inches.

.
Wow, how lucky are you! I hope you bought all they had!
Dang, I just read the rest of your post, that it was a trade-in. I guess that's going to be the only one you find.
Cheers, Eric

Wow, indeed! That was very fast ID. I wish they had a second or third. I guess I’ll have to track down some Corydoras melanistius melanistius so it does not get stressed.
Thank you very much Eric!
