How big do Cory cats get?

Hello everyone, I'm a Newbie here. Forgive me if I say anything stupid.
I've been researching fish for my 30g aquarium. At this moment I'm planning on populating it with 15 Neon Tetras and six Spotted Corys. What I can't find is a maximum size for the adult Corys. If they get to two inches I will be pushing my "one inch of fish per 12 square inches of surface area" maximum. If they grow larger, I'll be way over.
So help me out, how big do they get?

there are a lot of different cories that get ro be diff sizes. See this :

scroll thru there and try to find your pictured cory. Or I am sure someone on here will ID it for you.

maybe it's a julli? no, not quite. There is even several different types with common name spotted cory, see here, scroll down to spotted cory and hold your cursor over the names for a picture or click on it for more info.

Hi and welcome to Planet Catfish!

You would probably get the best results in this forum http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=6
But no worries we are not that mean here :)

Many cories have different adult sizes if you go here http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/ge ... genus_id=1 and look around you will see what I mean.
Measurement are usually given in SL which is from the tip of the snout to base of tail.

Cories are not really my thing so I can not help you with the specific cory in your picture but I am sure someone will come along who can.

Thanks for your suggested links. Wow. I had no idea how many varieties there are. I'll post in the forum you mentioned to see if I get a positive ID.
Thanks for your help.
