L002
I have recently purchased 5 l002's just wanted to know the best way to sex them and also i have had them for just over 2 weeks and not seen them eat. I know they are wood eaters and they are always hiding. But they will not touch any food i put down like algae pellets or courgette. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Place them in a basin and take close up photos from the top.
Less likely they will eat prepared food with the lights on. Drop food then turn all lights off. Go to sleep and let them be.
If they don't finish off everything, that big guy on the left side of your tank will definitely help himself with all of the food.
Good luck.

That said, they might be a little young to tell.

Not too sure how old they are. But definitely have a mixture of ages. I have one twice the size of the smallestJools wrote:That said, they might be a little young to tell.

Is this any better. And roughly how old would you say they are.Coldhands wrote:Sorry, I cannot sex them based on these shots. Perhaps somebody else can.

Ideally, photos should be close up of each fish. The biggest one could be male, based on that pic. The rest are too small/young to clearly identify. All look skinny, however. Perhaps their big tankmate is keeping most of the food for himself/herself? Good luck.
