Snakeheads / Channa Pleuropthalma

Recently seen a picture of these stunning snakeheads on the internet & am interested in them
Ive managed to find out their max size approx 12-16", but is there anyone on here that has any experience of keeping them.
(I'm aware this is a catfish site but like myself Im sure lots of contributers on here can/do & have kept other species)
I've kept Micropelts before about 15 yrs ago before I knew what they where, and the poor thing jumped through the cover glass of its aquarium

Although I never kept Channa, People tell me thay are fiercely territorial.

But keeping 1 will not have much problems, unless the other fishes are too small (although - is missing these fishes a problem?)

I have no experience with snakeheads. If you have not seen/used Ben the Amiidae's website yet, it'd be a good time - loads of snakehead keepers there. Don't know if the forum is as "young" as MFK's - read between the lines. MFK and Waterwolves have plenty of keepers. There are also clubs, just like koi and arowana clubs, but dedicated to snakeheads.

But I understand your inclination to start with PCF.
