Which syno to go with Congo tetra?

That sounds very similar to my water in most tanks :)

In my true blackwater tanks I use peat filtration to soften it further (and I currently have both Dicrossus filamentosus and Farlowella vittata breeding) but I wasn't planning to go to such extremes in the Congo tank. Indeed I added a little bicarbonate to raise the KH to about 1 (it's 0.6 degrees out of the tap).

P.S., Mine also appear to be pretty tolerant of nitrates, but they do NOT handle ammonia well at all.
