Landscape Gardner L014

Post by WillBeFine »

I have a 10cm L014 Sunshine Pleco in a planted Discus aquarium. In the past month the catfish has decided to landscape my tank by digging large holes and moving all the soil base and clouding the tank. If the catfish had his own cave would it stop this behavior or do I reluctantly need to find a new home for it?

Surely these guys love digging. Wait till it grows over 7 inches! Providing cave/s can lessen the digging activity during daylight. But expect it to go on and dig again once it comes out of its cave after the lights are turned off. I use heavy pieces of wood and rocks as furniture because lighter pieces will knocked away for sure. I also keep my anubias off the sand as Goldies like to chew on them whenever plants are accesible.
