300g pond stocking ideas

Post by Fish_guygobies »

Hi all! I'm new to this forum and this is my first post, I was just looking for catfish ideas for my 300g indoor pond. I'm not into the common ones like TSN or RTC and I already have some fish going in there and the ideas need to be compatable.
The fish I already have are
Four line catfish
Eclipse catfish
Monodactylus sebae
Channel catfish
Yellow bullhead
Large batrochoglanis raninus
Syncrossus beauforti.

Was thinking about adding featherfin synodontis, a vulture catfish and maybe a ornate pim. Any other ideas?

Again not into super common fish I like oddballs, also if possible catfish that will be semi active since it's a pond.

If it were my pond, I'd not add any more than what you have. Adding the will result in deaths of some of the other fishes eventually. Suggest you add the dimensions of the pond for a better discussion.

Hope that helps,

Hi all,

Not an area I have any expertise in, but can you keep these in freshwater long term? My understanding was that they lives as juveniles in brackish water (mangrove swamps etc) and as adults as marine fish.

Yes, I don't know what kind of filtration you have on this pond but it sound pretty crowded too me. Are there multiples of any of these fish or is it 1 individual per species?
