Hello,

I'm in the process of putting together my fish room, which involves moving some fish around. I will be left with an empty 5 gallon, 10 gallon, and 15 gallon.

I am wondering if there are any interesting species to stock in tanks that are this small.

I am not interested in cramping any fish, but if you do have a suggestion that may end up a bit big for these tanks once mature, please still let me know. I have a 35, 65, and 125 gallon aquarium as well that things could move into.

Any suggestions or ideas are welcome for what to do with these smaller tanks.

It's a hard life being Canadian, sometimes.

Bit late seeing this, but a small group of smaller might work in a high water turnover 15g.

Firstly love the look of the Microsynodontis haven't seen them in shops but have built some trust with one willing to order in so maybe when I am ready to take.

I have picked up what they called a dwarf moth which to my untrained eye looks like a tiny banjo or rock catfish. So far have had it 2 months and see it lazing around. I got the last one when I was in a state to pickup fish and on revisit a shop in Sidcup did have more so they must be reasonably easy to get. They are keeping them in 1/3 RO my one doesn't so far seem to have had trouble adapting to tap.

I'm a big fan of smaller catfish as I don't have the big tanks needed for the more common ones and small catfish to me are still entertaining and rewarding to keep.

There are many tanks on the market today, which all come in a variety of sizes, shapes and styles.
Basically smaller tanks means 5 gal, 10 gal. But Little tanks under 10 gallons are just so hard to maintain because its entirely up to you to keep the water clean and very stressful for the fish.
