Sexing Bristlenose Pleco

Post by Kirrie »

I just got my first pleco two days ago and I was wondering if anyone could help me determine the gender. He or she is only about an inch and a half long. Is it too young to tell? I know it doesn't have any bristles yet, but it does look wider in the mid section as I read females would.

I can get some better pictures if they would be helpful.

Too small and too young to determine. In the mean time, enjoy this nice fish and watch it grow.
