How much tank footprint is required per Butterfly plec

Was wanting to find out how much tank footprint is recommended per butterfly pleco. Is it the same general rule of thumb as it is for similary sized plecos at around a square foot eacth ? Planning to set up a tank for three adults in the coming weeks. For information other fish planned ATM is 8 Adolfi Cory's. Will be the only bottom dwellers

Assuming we are talking 36x12 then this should be ok for all

Thanks again. It's most likely going to be a bigger tank than 3ft now a 4ft by x21 inch x21 inch . Should think this is more than sufficient for all. With more options to add something else now.
