My list for a Black Water bio - suggestions?

Post by Cydone »

Hi all,

What do you guys think about these picks for my coming black water / Rio Negro bio:
4x L168
4x L183
4x L102
(Maybe just L168 and L183 and then get 6 of each?)
15x C. Duplicares

Optional - Need advice
I really want to add L114 too. But I wonder if it would work.
Also want to add some Otocinlus, but they are hardly black water?

Any other black water species that could work?

The footprint of the tank is 180x80cm

Thanks :)

I think L107 could work in there as well :YMPARTY:

I agree that you should pick two of the three species you mention and go for bigger groups.

I have decided upon the following:

6 x L168
6 x L183
20 x C. Duplicareus

I am trying to find Hemiloricaria Melini and Oxyropsis Acutirostra, but no such luck yet.
