Help with L205 sex and wound/insult

Hey everyone,
So I got this L205 as a male but I'm starting to think I may have gotten it as a male. The tail fin has spine growth and the side of the tail does as well. The photos aren't the best but what does everyone reckon?
On the other hand on my other male there's this growth on him that's been there for the past week but not sure what it is. What do people reckon it is? Looks tumourous to me
