Repashy covered Lava Rock

Post by AmazonTank »

Hi everyone!
I plan on doing this tonight!
Does anyone recommend a better way to feed repashy?

I been having trouble figuring out the best feeding methods for my new plecos. My yellow chubbies are very shy eaters I'm having a hard time regulating there eating schedule.

Will it hurt their mouths at all to rasp on lava rock to get the repashy out of the holes?

Well I never thought of that. I saw a video on how the repashy sticker to the rock.
I will wait on that lava rock until I get more input.

I've seen people use the rough (non glazed) underside of ceramic tiles before. That works good and is safe.

Best, Eric

Yeah, wood is a good idea, I've also used it on flat stone like roof-slate.

I just throw cubes into the tank at dusk and my yellow chubbies eat it like pigs.
Mine are in a large discus tank and the water is kept at 84 degrees so perhaps that makes them less the picky eaters

Hi Captain! That's great info!
I raised the water from 78 to 82 and they seem to be jumping on the evening food much better.
What Repashy do you use?
I been mixing bottom scratcher and morning wood together. I was thinking of getting soiled greens.
