Post by strawbx »

I have the opportunity of obtaining this Cory.
Anybody know which species this is likely to be?
Appreciate this is not straight forward.

The name Corydoras 'tocantins' is yet another made up name and has no connection to any species that I know. Having said that there are at least 4 aspidoras, 1 Brochis and 3 Cory species listed as coming from that system.

Where did you get the name form?

C.'tocantins' origin

Ian,
It's from a wholesalers.
I should briefly explain my situation. I'm disabled & house bound but I have a mate with a shop who lets me know whats available & saves any I want.
Presently they're still at the wholesalers & I don't even have a discription! In the past I've had C.'latus' - pantanalensis, C.'trionori' - C42, C.'incolicana' - C141, etc.
Incidentally if you're ever over this way, approx 1.5 miles east of M1 exit 30 you're welcome to call in.

HI Alan,

Send me your details via a PM or e-mail and I will certainly come over, I am doing a lot of travelling over the next few weeks so it will have to be after the middle of October.

If you get some of the C. sp "Tocantins" it would be interesting to see exactly what they are, also the C.sp 'trionori' is another name I have not come accross.

Anyway hoping to receive 5 next week.
