growing cories!

Post by philtre »

growing cories as in cories that are growing. :D

in your experience, how do these little fellas achieve the best growth rates? Not to mention stay healthy!

#1 feed often, in manageable amounts?
#2 varied food? ( I'm only feeding one kind of pellet + occasional blood worms. trying to get my hands on another kind of pellet)
#3 good water quality/ regular water change?

what are the optimal ways in your experience?

cheers

Hi!

Well several factors are making a fish grow correctly or not.

Food: Should be varied for sure. I feed mine Artemia, gammarus, blood worms, Spirulina tabs...
How much : in a quantity that would be eaten in a few minutes, leftover means you are feeding to much ( in this case should be syphoned)... would be best to feed them 2-3 times a day ( when this is possible to do so) but in small amaount...

It is not necessary to make huge water change once in a while, it would be far more better to change daily a small percentage of the volume...

Have correct water parameters nothing in the extrem part of the scale...

Finally not over crowding the tanks...

This way you should have a pretty good growing rate...

Cheers
