Hoplosternum Littorale life span?

I have a Hoplosternum Littorale that is nine years old this year, how long is the life span of these fish?

No idea, but 15-20 years can be reached that I know of!
Plan B should not automatically be twice as much explosives as Plan A

I have had an Hoplo which was already 13yrs old when acquired from a friend. Said fish lived for a further 5yrs quite happily until accidently found itself in a washing up bowl with traces of bleach. (long story). So I would say 20yrs is quite attaianable if looked after.
