I am wondering what is the best color of sand to bring out the colors of this fish? Would white sand make it look washed out compared to black sand, or is there not much of a difference?

I have mine on pool filter sand. A buddy of mine has his on a darker substrate and the orange pops more.

Hi guys!
There is a picture for comparison with white sand and if someone post a picture with black or dark sand so you will have better idea about your sand preferences.

I have this photo of juveniles I raised. They were over coarse, basalt, river worn sand.

While the color of the substrate matters, more important is the light source. The specifications for any given bulb will change the appearance or the same fish in the same setting. Go here and see a lot of sterbai photos in different light and bottoms.

Corydoras Sterbai is my favourite of small-nano catfishes.

They are very playful all the time so I love them very much!

I dont know wich color substrate is the best for Sterbai, but I know that they in love with sand...
