I've got so much fry right now. Its not even just my cories having babies. I've got sparkling gourami fry and platy juveniles too and the corydoras trilineatus fry still growing as well

Congratulations! I've had some pygmies for several months, but no eggs. No matter, though, they are a fun little species to watch. Good luck!

I had these guys too for several months, nothing until now so its interesting.

We have had a heat wave really bad for the last 2 weeks. Even with air conditioning running our house temperature was sitting at 86F. Yesterday it cooled down overnight by 10 degrees and now today the cories are spawning. Temps are going to be going back up tomorrow (outside temperatures have been 95-115F)

I wonder when it cools down even more if other cories will spawn... lol

When it goes up, my gouramis, tetras, cherry barbs, and rasboras spawn. When it cools down, the cories go.

I'm down to 3 fry from the first hatch, one is outgrowing the other 2 but theyre at least doing good.

The parents have intermittently spawned again this week, I've collected 4 eggs over the last few days and one of those so far has hatched.

Keep it up. They grow remarkably faster with pristine water. Lots of water changes will help their growth.

Good luck, don't give up.

The biggest one I think eats all the food, judging by his huge belly lol

If you ever get a larger group of fry, it's very common to find one baby accelerating in growth. When I observe that, I remove the largest fish so that the smaller can get more food. Usually in a couple of weeks, another will start to grow faster than the rest. Then I remove it and the process repeats.

I've done that with my trilineatus!
I kept the single guy from the first batch and then the biggest guy of the second batch, I moved them to the parent tank while left the rest in the fry tank and ive got a whole nother group of big ones again lol once they get to an inch and are eating larger foods, they will be sold to new homes and the rest will catch up lol

But these pygmy babies, im keeping them :D I wanted a bigger shoal, so gonna keep whatever live and make it to a size that they can be moved into the parent tank too.

These guys are doing good. Got 3 of them at 14 days old, getting their adult colours, then 3 younger ones who are chugging along very well too.

these guys have a lower survival rate over my trilineatus cories.

Of the 46 fertile, 44 hatched, but so far I only have 13 survivors. Theyre growing well though, the ones left!

My oldest batch are nice and chunky little guys! Almost ready to go to their new home.
