Yes, it did and last month (August 2015), there were 90 cuckoo fry !!
The host for this fun project is Pseudo trophies sp. "acei"

This is my yellow tail ( 4 males / 6 females )

When I used to breed these, I left them in the cichlid mouth until free swimming. Sometimes they get too big and hard to take out from the cichlids.

Best food is fish egg. They hatch before the cichlids and devour them. The growth rate is amazing.

I never stripped them like you. It's interesting to see though.

I used to let them in the mouth until I stripped them out and I found that They started eating another coz of not enough cichlid egg. Moreover One cuckoo batch, I found all cuckoo eggs in the mouth without any cichlid eggs, I just wondering how could they servive without any food around them so I decided to stripp them before they hatched.

I put them through the egg tumbler with carefully notice to check and take the unfertilized egg out to prevent majority of cuckoo fry.

However I totally agreed with you about the growth rate which really amazing !!!

Normal breeding cichlid is so exciting
Cuckoo breeding is so AMAZING !!!
