Does anyone know anything about these fish? I have read about other eel tails and apparently they grow up to 90cm far too big for my tank, yet I have only found info on one site about this fish and it says that it grows to 20cm. If anyone has any information on this fish especially size it would be greatly appreciated.
1. putting your location in your profile will help others in giving you the correct advice you seek - what's called an eeltail in one country may be different to a similarly named fish in another part of the world.
Could you please go to teh "Profile" section and fill in your location with where you live, as it's a rule on this forum. It also helps us when for example figuring out what fish you've got (some common names mean completely different things in different places).
I bought a fish that was sold as a golden eeltail (see my thread here), apparently it is [clog]Porochilus rendahli[/clog] which does only grow to 20cm. That might be the one you were thinking of.
Funny how snowball and the originator are from the same country after snowball said about location profile. What a coincidence.
Me and my Mum used to catch eel tails when I was a kid but I can't remember what they looked like.

One more bucket of water and the farce is complete.
