I have a spawning colony of 8 petricolas, and some of the fry look odd. Most have the flattened streamline bodies, but I have a few that have a hump-like forhead. Almost looks like a frontosa, or dolphin's hump. Wondering if anyone else has seen this.
Does look similar to "snub nose" on plecos. I'm not sure what the exact cause is - there's been suggestions of genetics, water quality and breeding cave when it's happening on plecos. I'm pretty sure the "breeding cave" can be ruled out here, which leaves genetics and water quality (or, of course, "none of the above"!).
