Multipunctatus+lucipinnis?

Hi guys! I was wondering I have a cute little 100 day old cuckoo
And I know that their suppose to be in a group and in my area for a fish of the same size it is a bit pricey and I know lucipinnis is cheaper would that be an ok partner or would the cuckoo know and reject him as a tank mate? Please let me know! Also how do you sex synos I might try my hand at breeding them! But I have no definite plans I Just love synos!

The two species will get along...they will not become best buds but should not fight with each other.

Are you getting yours from Spencer here http://cichlaholic.com/lists.html decent prices for these and he has some the same size as yours.

just looked Birtle up, he should be able to ship them to you, you would have to ask them about that.

A simple mix of tanganyikan syno species should be relatively problem free, but a few things do need to be considered.

There still needs to be plenty of hidey-holes for them & other tankmates. 2 individuals is still not a great number - Birger quite rightly suggests that 3 individuals of a single or mix of species should be the absolute minimum
