Asian red tail catfish

I have a bany 3" Asian red tail catfish in a 150 gallon tank(don't worry I have a pond ready for him when he gets bigger cause the pond is filled with many adult Arowana) may I know what kind of food should I feed him to make sure he has a healthy diet cause now I am currently feeding him frozen bloodworms.

if you want to keep the Asian Red Tail, you probably have to ditch the Arowana's.....this catfish has a reputation of attacking and destroying tankmates, even bigger than itself

Bigger tanks/ponds alleviate this problem but yes, it will always be a concern. It will become minimal when you go to, say, 100,000 gal but I don't think one can ever rest assured with that fish in the tank, especially a powerful adult.

if you like the overall shape of that fish, I'd say trade it and get yourself a nice Leiarius

you have all the pro's: the sleek predatory look, the size (3 feet give or take), the predatory nature; but not the agression

Leiarius leaves other fish in peace if the other fish are as big as half its' own size or larger

its territorial to speciesmembers, unless you got a pair.
I've seen pairs co-exist just fine, oddly enough.

Leiarius is also easy to keep.

if you like a bit more of a challenge Brachyplatystoma might be your thing, these are fussy, especially when young.

but a fully grown Brachyplatystoma tigrinum is a sight to behold.....

Thanks guys for the advised if it went too big over the next few years I think I would have to donate it to the zoo then haha:)

Many of these facilities will not take these sort of donations...as too many people try to use them as dumping grounds for unwanted big fish/animals, you will most likely have to make other arrangements.

They are very different, especially in terms of temperament!
