been lurking on here for awhile now an got got this crazy idea one day to try an breed some clown plecos when i seen a supposedly proven pair of them at lfs, didnt research them got the pair for 20 bucks an bought like 6-7 more inchers, an am reading they are somewhat difficult to spawn ive been doing planted tanks for a while now so not to sure what to do. there in a 75 with whole bunch slate caves lots wood few annubias, the tds is around 130-180 leading upto a w.c. ph round7-7.5. lights are on timer for 8hrs, fx5 at one end of tank seio pump at the other temp 79-82f what do i need to change or do how difficult is it really to simulate dry, rainy season ,do i need to or just leave them to themselves ''set it an forget it'' also i picked up some hypans at a different lfs but having trouble distinguishing them between 129 or 270 the lfs had them labled as 204 soon as i seen them i new they werent but didnt try to argue with the employees they know everything at this one. but i asked what they could get on there list an they didnt mention the 129 but they did the 270 i kinda think thats what these are but not sure this is actually the first hypans ive even seen in real life, sheltered i know. ive heard people commenting things on how to tell them apart but iam not well versed enough to know what there even talking about somethin about some e-shape somewhere, an thickness of lines eye heighth ect. any help would be apreaciated sorry for rambling its 4am an just got done doin overtime at work ,to all a goodnight
