Hi,

I buy a Hemiancistrus that I go search Tuesday but I have need to confirmation of gender and species for search a second specimen.
I think this is a male.
Do you confirm ?

Looks like L200 Green Phantom, Hemiancistrus subviridis. Too young to tell the gender. I have L128 blue phantoms that are in the same boat, too young to tell the difference.

I can't tell from the pics, there's info on telling the two species of apart on their respective species pages. It is, as has been said, too young to reliably sex.

Hello,

thank you for your reply. I found another specimen last week. I don't know his age, he must be 7-8 cm TL. He may be a little too young to be sexed. I still took pictures to try. He looks a little skinny to me, but maybe he's just a male? Unless I overfeed my fish which is possible.

The new one looks male to me... I agree the first one looks female.
