Down Basics
Overview The first spawn was on Tuesday 17th of September 2019. The breeding group consisted of 2 males and 2 females. The smallest male was at least 55mm SL and the smallest female was at least 60mm SL. The individuals were obtained from Pier - Wild.

Dimensions The aquarium dimensions were 914mm x 457mm x 305mm (36" x 18" x 12") all Length x Width x Height.
Furniture Lots of java fern on wood, with sand substrate
Filtration Matten filter plus 4 inch poret cube with air lifter
Lighting Daylight and 6-7 hours per day from cheap LED strip lights
Heating Room is heated and this tank is on the bottom shelf, so cooler than others in the room.
Down Breeding
Behaviour One pair was involved in the spawning, the other pair ignored the event completely. Spawned in the same way as other similar fish, t-position and then the female deposited a small group of eggs, the repeat.
Eggs There were 82 white eggs laid which were 1.5mm in diameter.
Segregation Some eggs left with parents, some placed into floating breeding ring.
