Overview The first spawn was on Monday 16th of September 2013. The breeding group consisted of 1 male and 1 female. The smallest male was at least 100mm SL and the smallest female was at least 80mm SL. The youngest adult was approximately 3 months old. The individuals were obtained from Rare Aquatics (Wild).

Eggs There were 30 dark yellow eggs laid which were 0.0mm in diameter.
Segregation Spawned twice (2 months apart) in Discus tank Removed eggs - first time without male - poor hatch rate (only 2 fry hatch) - lost fry after 3 weeks not feeding well. 2nd attempt removed with male - still only one baby resulted and only survived a month Removed fish to separate tank in July 2013 - no spawning activity so back to Discus tank in September 2013
