Down Basics
Overview The first spawn was on Thursday 5th of March 2020. The breeding group consisted of 2 males and 3 females. The smallest male was at least 100mm SL and the smallest female was at least 100mm SL. The youngest adult was approximately 24 months old. The individuals were obtained from Pier F1 fish.

Down Aquarium
Dimensions The aquarium dimensions were 914mm x 457mm x 305mm (36" x 18" x 12") all Length x Width x Height.
Furniture One large piece of oak bog wood with lots of hiding spots. Several clay caves of various sizes. Sand substrate.
Filtration Matten filter with 2 air lifters, plus 4 inch sponge cube with single air powered lifter.
Lighting Basic LED strip.
Heating Room heated, this tank is on the middle of 3 shelves.
Down Breeding
Behaviour Females caved when gravid a few days later a male trapped one for 3 days before I noticed eggs.
Eggs There were 30 yellow eggs laid which were 3.0mm in diameter.
Segregation Left male with eggs, seems to be fanning well so far.
