Re: Indian Hemibagrus

Hey there. Thanks for the reply. Wonder if these Indian Hemibagrus are available in the UK? I'm currently keeping Wyckii/Wyckloides/and Filamentus. Have kept Nemurus in the past along with one of the smaller species "Rooster Catfish". Around 12yrs ago also kept a beautiful 16"+ Hemiba...

Wonderful thread about one of my favourite fishes. Mine is currently about 16" although suffers from a bent tail (genetic defect maybe?)
I'll get another 1st chance I get

Re: Zungaro Zungaro aggression - experience?

Still very tempted to move one of mine into one of my larger Ponds. But he is soooooo precious to me & virtually impossible to get here in the UK. My RTC /TSN Hybrid is very aggressive, badly damaged by 28" L. Mammoratus & worried it might attack my Jau.

Re: Juruense catfish compatibility

Again depending on size of tank there should be no issue other than the occasional territorial spate keeping Jurense with Plecos. (provided the pleco's are too small to be eaten!)

Re: Bagrus Filamentosus

Ill take a look in the images section. Very difficult to determine because I cannot find any or very little info on Filamentous & some of the images for Docmak look like different species/ different adipose fin. Still a rare fishy either way I guess...........alas one that's going to grow a hell...

Re: Zungaro Zungaro aggression - experience?

AMAZING !!! :d :d
Thanks for sharing.
No sign of aggression in the bigger environment. Worth noting
I wonder also could the complete lack of any Wood, Caves, Rock formations etc lead them to have no where to " territorialize"?

Bagrus Filamentosus

Viktor any update on your Jau? I moved my smaller specimen, approx. 15" at the weekend into one of my 8 ' foot ponds. No trouble 1st night, 2nd day noticed a few abrasions on the flanks & tail of my 15" & 18" Calophysus / Mammoratus and a couple of marks on the flanks of my Bi...

Looking to move house in the next 2-3 months. Have a huge selection of fish & tanks to move and very concerned about how to go about it. A couple of my pre formed Fiberglass Ponds are over 8feet x 4feet in size and a number of the fish are well over 26" !! Have some rare fish too that will ...

Tyty without being picky is it possible to post you water test results here? Im not quite sure what green across the board means? as in all your tests come up green or all your test pass the green light for OK? You'll find a wind variance in test kit results. With regards to Nitrite & Ammonia yo...

Re: Dwarf goonch

All the Goonch species are tricky to look after especially at smaller sizes & too begin with. I too lost my 1st 2 purchased in quick sucession :(( but "knock wood" appear to have everything better suited 3rd time around as have had mine now for a number of years. I cannot stress enough...

Re: Red tail catfish hybrid setup

My far the best way to maintain these set-ups is a bare bottom. Doesn't look great but best for the fish. Sand tends to end up the filters & gravel generally traps dirt, waste products etc. These large PIMS have also been known (for whatever reason) to swallow gravel which can lead to causes of ...
