Thanks,

Agree 1,2 male and 4 female. Not sure about 3 and 5 - guess time will tell.

L-66 Any ideas on the sex?

Hi, Please let me know your thoughts on the sex. TL around 12-13cm except fish 3 TL 10cm. They don't seem to be that hairy. I bought the fish about a month ago in a semi-poor condition, so working on getting them into a better shape. Fish 1 1.jpg FIsh 2 2.jpg Fish 3 3.jpg Fish 4 4.jpg Fish 5 5.jpg T...

At what age does female L46 stop spawning

Hi,

I've heard stories of very old L46 males spawning, but what about the females. What is the oldest female L46 you have known to spawn?

I've never owned L46 older than 6 years, so my input will be limited on this topic.

Regards,
Kasper

Re: L046 Biotype Small fish ideas

Very interesting reading.

Sounds like algae could be a bigger part of their diet than what I expected or maybe something living on/feeding on the algae?

Re: L46 - what sex?

The only definite male (dominant male) in the breeding setup is 6 years old and has claimed his cave. Today one of the three zebs has entered a cave, but didn't stay for long. I guess the coming months will give a clearer picture of their sex, as they settle in. Thanks again, I really appreciate you...

Re: L46 - what sex?

I really appreciate your input. I also lean towards 2 males and 1 female based on the pictures, but based on their behavior I tend to believe it is two females and one male. The tank has plenty of caves available (with opening perpendicular to the flow direction), but only one of the 3 occasionally ...

L46 - what sex?

Hi everyone,

I'm moving 3 zebs (2.5-3 years old) to my breeding tank. I would very much like to hear your thoughts on their sex?

Re: Adolfoi or duplicareus

Thank you for your advise

I've had a closer look at the fish and they all have serrations on the posterior edge of the pectoral fins.

C. adolfoi or C. duplicareus - they're both nice fish.

Thanks

Adolfoi or duplicareus

Hi,

I bought these fish online, labelled C. adolfoi, but I doubt whether that is correct or not?

They are settling in at the moment so don't want to disturb them too much, hence the video and no close up pictures.

Thanks

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

Don't know if No. 1 is the dominant one. I bought the fish a few days ago and they will be in quarantine for the next couple of weeks where I'll observe them closely.

Thanks

Hi

It depends on rates of filtration and waterchanges. If that is god you could easily keep around 25 plecos of that size.

Hi

Corydoras panda can cope 80F without any problems. I've often seen it with discus at even higher temps. Mine have spawned at temps around 78F, so I don't think it's the temperature that causes your problems...

Hi

I would try to higher the temp to about 32-33 celcius for min. a week.
If you can get the "jungfish" food from Mielings or other similar that contains garlic, which i good for internal parasites.
