Re: Cory tank rack

Hi, I would suggest instead of going for multiple tanks look for 1 big divided one per lvl or 2/3. Like an aquarium shop would use. 1 - It should already have some pipe work drilled (if used) 2 - Price should be good (if used) / saves time and reduces chances of leaks if you have fewer joins. 3 - It...

Re: Fish Planner

Not sure why a bad link ended up on here sorry about that just got the alert. Can only assume I put the wrong link in or a page expired and they shoved something else.

The link left up is correct and still working.

Re: Creating flow next to a Pleco Cave

I think the point was the the O2 goes into the water between the waters surface and the air. The bubbles you see going up don't really add anything while rising.

Rippling the waters surface should provide you plenty of O2 in the tank.

Re: Planetcatfish Mobile App

Think the problem is generally the cost. It might be free to download but the cost of producing an android and apple app that can communicate and get to information is going to be expensive. The location is always a hot issue for me as most people don't really want to be stalked down by people on ap...

Re: Fish Planner

Okay so I have been a bit lazy while working and things are slowly going up.

One of the feed back suggestions was a free stock tracker. It's avaible to buy but as this is planet catfish this is the free link.

[link removed]

Thanks again for the feed back and support!

Re: Fish Planner

Thanks Jools, awesome feed back and am well on the way with the bones of the site now. It's got a barebones feel to it right now but everything apart from auto delivery of products and them being free seems to be working. It might be a case of lowest it can support out box is $1 or something. Have a...

Re: Fish Planner

Thank you Viktor and Jools for agreeing to review. I'm breaking down how I develop it so it can be done in stages and refined. The total volume when all done will probably = or exceed that of your average fish keeping guide. But the idea is to build it in bite sized chunks. That way it can be releas...

Re: Is pet insurance worth the money? Who here has it?

Depends who you ask and the value you place on your pet. I have 2 dogs and both are insured. The first one cost £6000 in year one and £4000 in year 2. He has had 3 stable years and is now back in care. Cost of insurance is lower than the cost of the vets so far. That said he has required 20x the pri...

Re: Keeping Fish is never Quite easy

Sadly kit is built to fail. Older kit seems to have a much better life span. Used JBL externals for over 4 years few problems. But switched over to HMF and sponge filter combo as find it less hassle. (JBL can't be held responsible for puppy damage) Only thing I chew up now is an air pump about once ...

Hi Martin, Do you still have the 5 x Tatia musaica and are you ever near the QE2 Bridge area? Been tempted by these for awhile and have been putting it off as life has been a bit manic, but saw your post and know time is running out on these. I'm hoping they would be okay with my group of 4x Tatia pu...

Hi All, Thanks for taking the time to read this. I've been keeping fish for over 15 years and have reasonable success with it. I keep tropical and more basic species but have learned allot along the way. I accept I still have lots to learn because the world never stops it changes all the time and im...

Re: HMF & Catfish

It was about an inch up and 2cm in from the bottom of the hmf sheet. I've never seen catfish catch before on my 30ppi sheets. I don't know if it snagged a little and in distress drove deeper in till if finally passed away. It took me 5 minutes to pull tease it out and left a small hole in the sheet....
