Also one more tip--pandas love being in a school (and I think they're way more interesting to watch that way). If you just have those two, I'm sure they would appreciate getting a couple more buddies. Maybe wait until they're healthy before you add anything, though!

These fish can absolutely be treated with salt.

Have you tested water quality recently? That could give you a better idea of what's going on....

You could try giving epsom salts a shot if he really hasn't defecated in awhile (How do you know this? I'm picturing you watching this fish 24/7 to see if it poops--haha).
