Here's the distribution of Corydoras(ln9) leucomelas records on file at GBIF.org. Definitely in Colombia, and one record is along the Rio Irindiri, close to the Atabapo and Orinoco.

Hi Jeanne,
How big are these? Any more spawns? Are these in the same tank? Do you have sand and gravel in different parts of the tank?
Cheers,
Eric

Hi naturalart. Across the top of the page, find the "My Stuff" tab. Click on it to find "My Wishlist." Click on it. You can remove any items shown there using the "Remove" link / trashcan icon to the far right of each species. Screenshot_20230319-090456_Chrome.jpg To ad...

Leporacanthicus heterodon is really high up on my list of "big plecos" ... err, big in my concept... for future tank expansion.
God luck with them.

Re: Visited Shedd Aquarium yesterday
Great to see, thank you Eric so much! Our P. pictus haven't changed so much with age so far (~7yo). IIRC Shedd has a very large group of them with perhaps other Pimelodus mixed in. Sadly, I didn't get a picture or video of the Pimelodus. There were a lot. Maybe 15-25? I don't recall but the group w...

Visited Shedd Aquarium yesterday
Out on a family trip for a relative's birthday in Chicago. Yesterday was a trip to the Shedd Aquarium. They have a nice series of displays in their Amazon exhibit. Didn’t get pics of all the catfishes I saw, but got a few. There was also a nice tank with a school of Pimelodus . I expected P. pictus ...

Re: Meds
What kind of plecos? I usually treat with PraziPro, then tank the fish with healthy common Ancistrus and let the poop accumulate. I think they new fish get inoculated by the poop germs of the healthy fish.
Good luck,
Eric
